Capabilities

The work between the order and the delivery

Buying from another country is rarely difficult at the start — it is the middle that decides whether an order succeeds. That middle is our business: sourcing, coordination, verification and documentation, handled as one continuous process.

01

Sourcing & Procurement

We identify and evaluate manufacturers across mainland China, match products to buyer specifications, and negotiate terms on our clients' behalf.

02

Supply Chain Management

Production follow-up, order consolidation and freight coordination — managed from order placement to arrival, with the buyer informed at each stage.

03

Export Trading

Contracts, export documentation and shipment arranged through our Hong Kong trading desk — one accountable counterpart for your China purchases.

04

Quality Coordination

Inspection arranged against the agreed specification and confirmed samples before goods are released, so shipments match what was ordered.

What We Trade

Breadth that comes from experience

A seasoned trading house is measured by the range it can handle well. Our scope has been built category by category, order by order — each area below is one we source, consolidate and export on a per-project basis.

Outside these categories? Talk to us anyway. Long experience across product categories means we can often help — and if a product is not something we can handle well, we will say so plainly, before you have spent time or money on it.

Heritage

Rooted in tea, grown into general trade

PHOENHONE's trading history began with tea. Zhejiang is one of China's great tea provinces — its hills produce celebrated green teas, picked in spring and pan-fired by hand and machine in the districts where they grow. Working with tea production in the province, the company exported Chinese tea to overseas buyers, learning first-hand how an agricultural product is graded, packed, documented and shipped to meet the expectations of different markets.

Tea is an unforgiving teacher. The leaf varies by season and by hillside; grading is a matter of judgement, not paperwork; and a buyer on another continent has to trust that what was described is what will arrive. Trading tea well means knowing the producing areas, buying with the seasons, and describing every lot honestly — disciplines that cannot be improvised.

That experience became the foundation of a broader trading business. The categories have widened since — into the home, kitchen, hardware, appliance, bag and jewellery lines we trade today — but the working method has not changed: source carefully, represent honestly, and follow every order through to delivery. It is why buyers who come to us for one category often stay for the trade desk behind all of them.

The tea standard

Tea taught us the disciplines this company still runs on: grade honestly, pack carefully, document precisely — and never promise what a shipment cannot deliver.

Whether the cargo is tea or any of the other categories we trade, every order is held to that same standard: the right product, in the right condition, delivered as promised.

How We Work

One process, run on every order

No shortcuts and no inflated promises — the same end-to-end sequence, followed carefully whether the order is a first trial or a repeat shipment.

1

Enquiry

It starts with your brief — the product, the specification and the destination market. We confirm what is realistically achievable before anything is quoted.

2

Sourcing & quotation

We identify and compare manufacturers on capability and reliability, then quote on the facts of your requirement — product, packaging and delivery point.

3

Samples

Samples are coordinated and confirmed against the specification, so both sides agree on exactly what production will deliver before it begins.

4

Production follow-up

Once the order is placed, we stay with it — following progress with the factory and keeping you informed while the goods are made.

5

Quality check

Before goods are released, inspection is arranged against the agreed specification and the confirmed samples, and the results are reported to you.

6

Consolidation & shipping

Goods from one or several suppliers are consolidated where it makes sense, and freight is coordinated to your destination market.

7

Documents & delivery

Export documentation is prepared and coordinated through our Hong Kong desk, and the shipment is followed through to delivery.

Buyer Questions

Questions buyers ask us

Straight answers, in the same terms we would give you by email.

How does an enquiry start?

By email. Send the product, the specification or target requirements, and your destination market. We reply with a clear view of what we can source and how we would approach it — and if the product is outside what we can handle well, we say so in that first reply.

Can samples be arranged before we commit to an order?

Yes — samples are a standard step in our process, coordinated against your specification so production can be agreed on something both sides have seen. The arrangements for each sample request are confirmed per project.

Who handles freight and export documents?

We do. As the contracting trading company in Hong Kong, we coordinate export documentation and freight through to your destination market, and report status at each stage. The shipping arrangement for each order is confirmed in writing before production begins.

How is quality coordinated?

Quality is anchored to the agreed specification and confirmed samples. Before goods are released, inspection is arranged against that standard — quantity, workmanship and packaging — and the results, with photos, are reported to you before dispatch.

Do you publish prices or minimum order quantities?

No. There is no catalogue pricing and no standing minimum: every project is quoted on its own facts — product, materials, packaging, quantity and destination. Send us the requirement and we will quote it properly.

Tell us what you need to source.

Send the product, the specification and the destination market. We will reply with a clear view of what we can do — and what we cannot.
